يوم السبت الموافق 24 مايو 2014، وعند الساعة التاسعة صباحاً وبحضور المؤسسين لرابطة كليات المجتمع الليبية تم الاجتماع في مقر شركة المنارة الدولية للغات والتدريب لمناقشة تأسيس مؤسسة مجتمع مدني غير حكومية وغير ربحية والعمل على الإعداد للحصول على إذن ‏مزاولة تحت أسم رابطة كليات المجتمع الليبية ومقرها الرئيسي مدينة طرابلس وتم التصويت واختيار مجلس إدارة الرابطة والذي يتكون من ذوي الاختصاص وهم محمد المعتز محمد ثابت دريبيكة‏، رئيساً لمجلس الإدارة والدكتور حسين سالم مرجين، نائبا للرئيس بالإضافة إلى الأعضاء فايز الأمين الغدامسي‏، ورضا الشكشوكي وأسماء النجار. ولكن نظراَ لتدهور الوضع الأمني بذلك الوقت تم تأجيل تأسيسها إلى وقت لاحق على أن يتم الدعوة إلى إجتماع تأسيسي للرابطة حال‏ تحسن الوضع الأمني. On Saturday, 24th of May 2014, at 9:00 am, in the presence of the founders of the Association of Libyan Community Colleges, a meeting was held at the headquarters of Lighthouse (Elmanara) International for Language and Training co. to discuss the establishment of a civil society non-governmental and non-profit organization with objective of working on the preparation of obtaining permission to practice under the name of the Association of Libyan Community Colleges to be headquartered in the capital city of Tripoli. A the selection of the Board of Directors of the Association was voted and resulted in the selection of number of specialist consiting of the Moataz Mohamed Drebika as Chairman, Dr. Hussein Salim Marjeen, V. Chairman in addition to the members Fayez al-Amin Ghadamesi, Reza Shakshouki and Asma Najjar. However, due to the deterioration of the security situation at that time, its establishment was postponed to a later date, given that a a founding meeting of the Association will be called upon as soon as the security situation improves.
